The “Iwate Food Fair” was held from 25 December 2011 to 1
January 2012, at JUSCO 1 Utama Shopping Centre, to introduce various
kinds of fresh and delicious food made in the Iwate prefecture of
Japan. Iwate prefecture is one of the most affected prefectures by the
Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11. As part of their
efforts to rebuild their hometown, the producers from
Iwate sold
their delectable Seafood (saury, escallop, salmon etc.), Japanese rice,
apple, confectionery and so on at the Fair.
On this occasion,
H.E. Shigeru Nakamura, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, Mr. Atsuo
Saito, Director General, Department of Commerce, Industry, Labor and
Tourism, Iwate Prefecture and the producers from Iwate introduced the
delicious Iwate food and let the public try them.
