On July 26,“The 1st Aikido Yamanashi Yoshinkan International
Demonstration in Kuala Lumpur”was held at Cititel Mid Valley. This
event was co-organized by the Embassy of Japan and the Yoshinkan Aikido
Malaysia to promote Aikido in Malaysia and to improve Aikido
practitioners’ skill and techniques.
Mr. Takafumi Takeno,
Headmaster of Aikido Yamanashi Yoshinkan and Chairman of the All Japan
Yoshinkan Aikido Federation, Mr. Sonny Loke sensei of Yoshinkan Aikido
Malaysia and various Chief Instructors from overseas demonstrated their
skills and techniques at the event.
The demonstration was a huge
success. The audience cheered each time a sophisticated Aikido skill or
technique, such as the “Joint Lock”and“Throw”were demonstrated by the
Aikido masters.
