On
17 August, the Tanabata Festival 2014 was held at the International
University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW). The venue was colorfully decorated
with handmade lanterns and bamboos for the festival, which was
co-organized by the AOTS Alumni Society of Malaysia, IUMW and the
Embassy of Japan. The participants fully enjoyed the festive atmosphere
at the Tanabana Festival which showcased Japanese songs performed by
students dressed in the Yukata, an origami folding booth and a kimono
dressing demonstration.
