Ikebana demonstration by Ms. Senko Ikenobo

    On 29 July, “Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) demonstration” by Ms. Senko Ikenobo, Head Master Designate of Ikenobo School of Ikebana was held.

     Utilising Malaysian flowers, Ms. Ikenobo explained the history and characteristics of Ikebana. Two examples of Ikenobo-style Ikebana was demonstrated, firstly, ‘Rikka’ (traditional style of Ikebana) and ‘Free Style’ (modern style of Ikebana). Many in attendance listened intently to the demonstration and eagerly took pictures of the skilfully arranged Ikebana.
