A reception for
Promotion of Agricultural and marine Products from Iwate Prefecture,
Japan co-hosted by Mr.Takuya TASSO, Governor of Iwate Pref. and
Ambassador Mr.Masaniko HORIE was held on November 19th at the Japanese
Ambassador's residence.

 At the reception, a total of about 150 guests from
various government-related agencies and department, including deputy
Minister 1 of Ministry of Agriculture and Agro- based Industry, Dato'
Seri Mohd Shariff Haji Omar, and Deputy Minister of Ministry of
Tourism, Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai, retailers, hotel managers, press
related, Japan alumni associations, etc. attended and enjoyed Japanese
cuisine which are mainly cooked from Iwate Pref.'s agricultural and
marine products.
In addition, guests enjoyed
and ware enchanted by the cultural events such as Kagami Wari,
mini-concert by Kiyomi who is the Japanese Mandarin singer and cultural
performance from Iwate Pref., Sansa Odori which is a folk dance and
also a short demonstration of the Wanko Soba, soba noodle eating
contest.
Interest on Iwate Prefecture
was increased for the guests and its agricultural and marine products
were effectively presented and positively impressed to all guests
through the reception. |
