Debrief Meeting: Junior High School Students in ASEAN Member Countries
for Youth Exchange Project Delegation

The Government of Japan invited 6 Malaysian junior high school students and a supervisor to Japan from 20th to 30th November to participate in the “Junior High School Students in ASEAN Member Countries for Youth Exchange Project” organized by the National Institution for Youth Education (NIYE).

On 1st December, a debrief meeting for the programme was held upon the return of the participants at the office of the Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia (JAGAM), which supports this programme.

After a brief introduction to the programme by the supervisor, each junior high school student who participated in the exchange presented their impression of the visit. There was also a Q&A session between the audience and the students, followed by press interviews. The junior high school students eagerly recounted their memories to the press, describing how they felt throughout the visit.

“During our visit to Japan this time, we were able to understand the Japanese culture and lifestyle”, remarked one student. Some of them also stated that “We will treasure all the experiences and friendships gained during the visit”.
