The Japanese Decoration Conferred upon Dr. Stephan Leong and Dr. Lau Poh Yok

It has been decided that “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette (旭日小綬章(Kyokujitsushoujushou))”is to be conferred upon Dr. Stephen Leong, the former Director for Japan Studies, Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, and “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays (旭日双光章(Kyokujitsusoukoushou))” upon Dr. Lau Poh Yok, Private Medical Practitioner, Clinic Medical Health Care, Pantai Hospital by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

“The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette (旭日小綬章(Kyokujitsushoujushou))” is bestowed upon Dr. Stephen Leong in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of mutual understanding and academic exchanges between Japan and Malaysia.

“The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays (旭日双光章(Kyokujitsusoukoushou))” is bestowed upon Dr. Lau Poh Yok in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of medical services for the Japanese and friendly relationship between Japan and Malaysia in the field of medicine.
