    On 3rd November 2016, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of the 2016 Autumn Decorations. Datuk Seri Mohamed Iqbal Rawther, Vice President cum Secretary General of the Malaysia-Japan Economic Association (MAJECA) received the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon for the recognition of his long term contribution to strengthening bilateral economic relations between Japan and Malaysia.
