    On the 3rd of November, the Government of Japan announced foreign national recipients of decorations for the 2017 autumn conferment. Among them, the following are the dignitaries within the area of jurisdiction of the Embassy of Japan who receive decorations for their outstanding contributions:


1.   Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen

• Former Minister of Foreign Affairs

• Former Minister of Trade and Industry

• Former Minister of Defense       

Services: Contributed to promoting diplomatic and economic relations between Japan and Malaysia
Decoration: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun



2.   Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz

• Former Governor of Central Bank of Malaysia　

• Chancellor of Global University of Islamic Finance

• Co-Chair of Board of Governors of Asia School of Business

Services: Contributed to strengthening economic relations between Japan and Malaysia
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star



3.   Dato' Dr. Kuang Ling Siow

• Former President of Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia (JAGAM)　

• Former Chairman of ASJA International

• Former Royal Surgeon for Sultan of Johor

• School Doctor for the Japanese School Johor

• President of Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia (JAGAM) South Branch

Services: Contributed to promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia
Decorations: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette
