Summary
A devastating magnitude 9.0 earthquake hit the coast of northern part of Japan and triggered a tsunami that sent waves as far as six miles inland swallowing houses and towns on March 11, 2011 and the subsequent and inexperienced nuclear accident caused tens of thousands casualties and hundreds of thousand evacuees in the  Eastern Japan. As Japan approaches the first year anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, are there any lessons to be learned from the tragedy?
