The Asian Paralympic Committee hosted the Asian Youth Para Games Malaysia 2013 from 26th to 30th October. The Games were held at 9 venues within and around KL. Japanese national team comprised of athletes and officials in total of 160 achieved a brilliant success with obtaining 85 medals including 40 gold medals, which attained the first place in terms of the number of gold medals.

     At the Closing Ceremony on 30th, Ambassador Nakamura, in his speech, congratulated the Japanese national team of their great performances. Team captain Mr. Ohtsuki thanked for the hospitality of Malaysian people and encouraged the team to continue their endeavors for the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics in 2016, and the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020.
