Presentation Ceremony to Negeri Sembilan
Family Planning Association under Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects |

The Government of Japan has donated US$ 25,955 (RM79,320) to
Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association for “The Project for Women
Health Clinic Improvement in Seremban City, Negeri Sembilan State”. The
Grant supported Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association to procure
an Electrocardiograph System and Ultrasound System to provide free
reproductive health care service to youths from a socially
disadvantaged and less fortunate background. The Handover Ceremony for an Electrocardiograph System and Ultrasound System was held on 16th June 2012 at HOTEL ROYALE BINTANG Resort & Spa, Seremban, and coincided with the 50th Anniversary ceremony of Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association. Mr Shigeru Nakamura, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia delivered a speech at the event. Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association is an NGO which provides affordable reproductive health care. In its activities, Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association provides free service to youths from a socially disadvantaged and less fortunate background.
Since 1989, the Government of Japan has extended about RM14.2 million to 126 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local governments in Malaysia under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme as a way to contribute to many small but socially important projects at the grassroots level.
