Signing of the Grant Contract between Embassy of Japan and Four Malaysian NGOs under Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects |

The Government of Japan has decided to extend grant aid to following 4 NGOs in Malaysia under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme. The grant contracts between Embassy of Japan and following NGOs were signed on 17th February 2012 at Japanese Ambassador’s residence.
(Summary of the 4 Projects) 1. The Project for Procuring Used Wheelchairs for Children (1)

(2) Grant amount: USD 7,323 (RM 22,380) (3) Donated items: Transportation cost for about 100 refinished wheelchairs for disabled children from Japan 2. The Project for Women Health Clinic Improvement in Seremban City, Negeri Sembilan State (1)

Sembilan Family Planning Association
(2) Grant amount: USD 25,955 (RM79,320) (3) Donated items: Cost to procure an Electrocardiograph System and Ultrasound System 3. The Project for improving the facility of a HIV/AIDS center (1)

(2) Grant amount: USD 27,599 (RM84,343) (3) Donated items: Cost for renovating the centre 4. The Project for Installing a Mobile Community Centre for Community Building in Urban Poor District (1)

(2) Grant amount: USD26,697 (RM 81,587) (3) Donated items: Cost for procuring a 1 Ton Truck, a PC, and Library system. (Summary of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects) The
Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects is given out to
support small but socially important projects at the grassroots level
for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local governments.
