     The Government of Japan decided to extend grant aid to the Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme.

     The grant contract between the Embassy of Japan and the Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association as signed on 23rd March 2017 at the Embassy of Japan.

(Summary of the Project)

The Project for Provision of Medical Devices to the Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association Clinic in Negeri Sembilan
(1)    Recipient: Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association
(2)    Grant amount: USD 13,721 (RM 60,344.96)
(3)    Project Details
        The Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association will use the grant to purchase an Electrocardiograph (ECG) Machine
        and an Ultrasound Machine in order to provide healthcare for elderly people. These equipment will enable the
        associations to provide better services and help for those in need.
(4)    Donated items: An ECG Machine and an Ultrasound Machine with a High Power Frequency Breast Probe

(Summary of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects)
The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects is given out to support small but socially important projects at the grassroots level for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and local governments. Since 1989, the Government of Japan has contributed about RM17.2 million to 146 projects in Malaysia.
