Japan’s Grant Assistance to Malaysia for Grassroots Human Security:
Project for Developing Sports Ground for Orphans

The Government of Japan has decided to extend financial aid to an NGO in Kuala Lumpur, namely The Pure Life Society, under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects scheme, for “the Project for Developing Sports Ground for Orphans.” The grant contract between the Embassy of Japan and ERA was signed on 20th February 2009.

The Pure Life Society runs a Home for orphans and underprivileged children. It provides these children with residential cares, education (reading and writing) as well as skill training (sewing, handicraft making, etc.). The government of Japan sincerely hopes that having the donated sports facilities (inclusive of a basketball court, etc.) the organization will be able to enhance its physical education and foster the healthy growth and development of the children.
