The Japanese Decoration Conferred upon Tan Sri Datuk Asmat bin Kamaludin |

 “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star （旭日重光章：Kyokujitsu-Jūkōshō）” was conferred upon Tan Sri Datuk Asmat bin Kamaludin, the Former Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia (MITI), by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Tan Sri Asmat bin Kamaludin has been supporting activities of the Japanese enterprises operating in Malaysia by assuming the chairmanships at several companies such as UMW Toyota Motors Sdn. Bhd., PERODUA Sdn. Bhd. and Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The ceremony to present the decoration was held on 11th November 2014 at the Residence of H.E. Ambassador Dr. Makio Miyagawa in Kuala Lumpur. The Japanese decoration was bestowed in recognition of his long-term contribution to further strengthening the bilateral economic relations between Japan and Malaysia. |
