In the communications and multimedia event “KL Converge” which was organized by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia and a few other agencies and held at the KL Convention Center from 17 to 19 September 2014, 8 Japanese companies, under the coordination of Embassy of Japan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Japan, participated in Japan Pavilion and showcased Japan’s latest technologies and services. Ministers of Communications and Heads of Delegations from ASEAN member states, Japan and India attended the event. H.E. Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Ministers and Heads of Delegations from participating countries visited Japan Pavilion and experienced the latest technologies and services from Japan. 8 Japanese companies and the content showcased: IHI (Satellite related technologies), NEC Corporation of Malaysia (Face Recognition System), Sumisho Ecommerce Malaysia (Ecommerce), Sony Malaysia (4KTV & Smart Phone), Dai Nippon Printing (Mobile Digital Wallet Service), Dentsu (Mobile Stamp Card Application), Fujitsu (Disaster Prevention ICT), Rakuten Malaysia (Ecommerce)
