The communications and multimedia event “KL Converge! 2015” which was organized by Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia and a few other agencies was held at the KL Convention Center from 27 to 29 August 2015. Japan set up a Japan Pavilion in which 8 Japanese companies participated and showcased Japan’s latest technologies and services. 8 Japanese companies and the content showcased: IHI (Satellite related technologies), NEC Corporation of Malaysia (Face Recognition System), Canon Malaysia (Digital Camera), Sumisho Ecommerce Malaysia (Ecommerce), Sharp (4KTV), Dentsu (Mobile Digital Wallet Service), Hitachi Asia (Simulation Technology for Transportation Optimization), Fujitsu (Disaster Prevention ICT) Furthermore, Japan set up a 8K projector which was shown for the first time abroad. A conference on the application of ICT for disaster management was also held and Fujitsu presented a company booth. Ministers of Communications and Heads of Delegations from ASEAN member states and Japan attended the event. Y.B. Senator Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Mohd Salleh Tun Said Keruak, Minister of Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia, Ministers and Heads of Delegations from participating countries visited Japan Pavilion and the other Japanese exhibitions and experienced the latest technologies and services from Japan.
