Handing-Over Ceremony of Japan's Additional Emergency Relief Goods for the Flood Disaster in Malaysia |
22 January 2015
On January 22, Minister Yoshinori Kodama, Deputy Chief of the
Mission, attended the Handing-Over Ceremony of Japan's Additional Emergency
Relief Goods for the Flood Disaster in Malaysia held in the WFP-UN Humanitarian
Response Depot Subang. The hand-over ceremony of the additional emergency relief goods to the Government of Malaysia was held following the Government of Japan’s decision on 16th January to provide additional emergency relief goods worth 10 million yen (tents, blankets etc.) to Malaysia through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This was in response to the request from the Government of Malaysia and the State Government of Kelantan, in view of the persistence of serious damage caused by floods in the country. ![]() ![]() |
