Mr.
Akihiro Ohta, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism
of Japan, visited Malaysia from 13th to 14th August 2014, and discussed
issues such as the Malaysia - Singapore High Speed Railway and road
administration with various dignitaries.
1. Malaysia - Singapore High Speed Railway
Mr.
Ohta met with YB Dato' Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Minister of Transport, and
YB Senator Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid Bin Omar, Minister in the Prime
Minister's Department on 13th August and YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed
Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar, Chairman of the Land Public Transport
Commission on 14th August to discuss the high-speed railway.
2. Road Administration
Mr.
Ohta exchanged opinions on cooperation in the road sector with YB Datuk
Haji Fadillah Bin Yusof, Minister of Works Malaysia on 14th August.
