The Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry in Malaysia Celebrated its
30th Anniversary at Mandarin Oriental Hotel on 12th September, 2013. It began with a speech by the president of JACTIM, Mr. Nakamura, and was followed by a Congratulatory Message from the Prime Minister of Japan read by His Excellency Mr. Nakamura, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia. The former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir and Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib also delivered congratulatory remarks During the event, a time-capsule which was sealed on JACTIM’s 20th Anniversary Celebration in 2003 and contained a forecast of Malaysia in 2013 was opened. The forecast was made by the then Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir and the then president of JACTIM, Tan Sri Kazumasa Suzuki. Then, the next 10 year time-capsule was sealed by Prime Minister Najib.
