Mr. Akihiro NISHIMURA, State
Minister for Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism,
Japan, visited Malaysia on Tuesday, 4th November to Wednesday, 5th
November, 2014. The overview of the visit is as follows.
1. Mr.
NISHIMURA hosted the High Speed Rail Seminar in Kuala Lumpur. At the
seminar, a Japanese presenter made a presentation which touched on the
"role of the high-speed rail," "the technical superiority of the
Shinkansen" and "the effects of construction" to promote understanding
of Japan's Shinkansen.
2. Mr. NISHIMURA had three meetings
during his visit to Malaysia. The first meeting was with YB Tan Sri
Dato' Seri Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar, Chairman of the Land
Public Transport Commission. The second meeting was with YB Senator
Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid Bin Omar, Minister in the Prime Minister's
Department while the third meeting was with YB Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi,
Deputy Minister of Transport, Malaysia.
