Naomi Tokashiki's Visit to Malaysia

Ms. Naomi TOKASHIKI, State Minister for Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan, visited Malaysia on Thursday, 21st July to Friday, 22nd July 2016. The overview of the visit is as follows.

1. Ms. TOKASHIKI attended the JLN (Joint Learning Network) Global Meeting: Building Strong System to Achieve Universal Health Coverage. During the meeting, she highlighted the importance of formulating policies concerning changing demography as Japan currently has the world’s longest average life expectancy. Moreover, she mentioned that Japan will continue to contribute to the promotion of health insurance and long-term care insurance  globally.

2. Ms. TOKASHIKI also visited Sunway Medical Centre (private hospital), Shalom Health Service (nursery elderly home), Malaya University Medical Centre (public hospital).
