Opening Ceremony of Japan-Malaysia Triangular Cooperation Programme for Palestinians
on Islamic Finance

        On 22 September, the opening ceremony of the BNM-MTCP-JICA customised program on Islamic Finance for Palestinians was held at Lanai Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia. Under this programme, as part of Japan-Malaysia triangular cooperation, 11 officials from the Palestine Monetary Authority are invited to Malaysia, undertaking 10 day programme on Islamic finance. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Makio Miyagawa, Ambassador of Japan, Dr. Anwar H. al Agha, Ambassador of Palestine and Ambassador Zainol Rahim Zainuddin, Director General of Policy and Strategy Planning Department. Ambassador Miyagawa expressed his wish that this programme would contribute to the development of Palestine’s financial sector as well as to the Palestine peace process as a whole.
