Service, Embassy of Japan is glad to
provide advice and useful information to Malaysian students who wish to
further their education in Japanese institutions and universities.
The Embassy of Japan has appointed an experienced education counsellor
who graduated from a Japanese university to provide competent
guidance.
Should you have any queries regarding education matters, such as procedures for entry into Japanese universities, qualifications, accommodation, courses available, semesters, scholarships and etc., please do not hesitate to visit our office or call our education counsellor for further assistance.

| Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarships |

The
Government of Japan offers the following scholarship
programmes each year for
Malaysian
nationals to apply. Interested applicants are advised to read the
guidelines carefully. Unless stated otherwise, scholarship applications
should be made to the Embassy of Japan, Kuala Lumpur. Please
note that
the requirements and application period differ among
these programmes.

JASSO takes
various measures to further develop the
environment for study abroad and in Japan, for ensuring the quality of
incoming international students and improving the system for accepting
them, and for supporting Japanese students to study abroad.
In order to actualize the measures, JASSO provides economic assistance including scholarships to international students, promotes study in Japan and abroad by collecting and providing information, improves application procedures for international students by conducting examination (EJU), maintains accommodation for international students, operates preparatory Japanese language education and programs aimed at promoting international student exchange. |

Japan Educational
Information Centre (JEIC) Kuala
Lumpur is the
representative office of JASSO. Established in April 1995,
JEIC provides Malaysians who wish to pursure an education in
Japan with the latest, most appropriate information on tertiary and
Japanese language institutes.
