Ambassador Takahashi paid a courtesy call to the governor of Bank Negara

On December 7, Ambassador Takahashi paid a courtesy call on Datuk Shaik Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia. During this courtesy call, Ambassador Takahashi expressed his appreciation for Bank Negara’s support to Japanese financial institutions operating in Malaysia. Ambassador Takahashi also exchanged views with the Governor on financial stability in the ASEAN region, as well as cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in new areas such as sustainability and green technology. Governor Datuk Abdul Rasheed explained the efforts of Bank Negara Malaysia in these areas and expressed his expectation of exploring the cooperation between Japan and Malaysia.
