Recruitment of a local staff (full-time) at the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur

Job Description

• Work as an assistant to a security officer at the Embassy
• The duties include gathering data related to security, guard duties around the embassy facilities, instructing contract security guards, receiving visitors to the embassy, and providing advice and support to Japanese citizens in need

 
Requirements

• To be a Malaysian citizen (or possess a long-term visa with work permission in Malaysia such as permanent resident, resident pass or Malaysian spouse visa pass, etc.)
• To have N1 or N2 level of proficiency in Japanese language
• To be fluent in English and Malay for daily tasks (additional fluency in Chinese preferable)

• To have standard office work IT literacy (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Preferably to possess experience or knowledge in security and local regulations (administrative/laws)

 
Start of Employment

• Late February 2024 onwards (specific starting date to be decided upon discussion)

 
Regular Working Hours

• 8:30am – 4:30pm on weekdays (lunch break: 12:30pm – 1:30pm), except for the Embassy’s closing days

 
Salary

• To be determined in accordance with the Embassy’s regulations based on education background, experience and other abilities
