Official Visit by Ambassador Takahashi to Sarawak

From June 27th to 29th, Ambassador Takahashi made an official visit to Sarawak and paid a courtesy call on YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak.
 
At the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Japan and Sarawak on environmental preservation, energy and digital, as well as promoting cultural exchanges.
 
During their stay in Sarawak, Ambassador Takahashi and his spouse witnessed the Mamorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on the Forest Landscape Restoration Program between Japan Malaysia Association (JMA) and Forest Department Sarawak, as well as made site visits to Sarawak Biodiversity Center and Taiyo Yuden (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd. They also visited Cat Museum and Borneo Cultures Museum.
 
In addition, Ambassador Takahashi had meetings with representatives of the Japanese community in Kuching and exchanged views with representatives of Japanese residents and Alumni Look East Policy Society (ALEPS) over their economic and cultural activities in Sarawak.
