On 26th July, Ambassador Shikata attended “Breaking Barriers – Wheelchair Tennis Awareness Event”.
This event, co-hosted by the IATSS Forum Japan Alumni Association Malaysia (MIFA) and Wheelchair Tennis Malaysia (WTM), aimed to raise awareness of wheelchair tennis and celebrate the abilities, determination, and achievements of para-athletes.
Ambassador Shikata participated in a wheelchair tennis experience with attendees, commended the athletes' efforts and achievements, and presented commemorative awards.
The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games will be held in Japan next year. We look forward to the continued success and achievements of WTM's athletes in the lead-up to the Games.
