On 28th November, the Embassy of Japan hosted a conferment ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon for Dato’ Wan Latiff Wan Musa, former Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and former Director of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) Tokyo Office.
Dato' Wan Latiff has made a great deal of effort and contribution to new areas of the bilateral relationship between Japan and Malaysia, including the establishment of a third country training programme on trade development for Africa in collaboration with JICA, the promotion of halal business between the two countries and the improvement of tourism services in Malaysia.
This award honors his remarkable contributions to strengthening relations between Japan and Malaysia.
