On 30 January, Ambassador Takahashi attended “JAPAN-ASEAN ROUNDTABLE Geopolitical and geoeconomic shifts: impacts and implications on multilateral and bilateral relations,” an event on the Japan-ASEAN relations hosted by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia. The event featured a keynote address and a Q&A session by Ambassador Kiya Masahiko, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, followed by panel discussions by experts.
In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Takahashi mentioned how the Japan-Malaysia relations made significant progress in the context of the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation last year. He also stated he was looking forward to cooperating and coordinating with Malaysia towards a successful chairmanship of Malaysia.
