The “47in27” project has been launched, marking a new beginning

On 28 May , Ambassador Shikata attended the launch ceremony of the “47in27” project held at EQ Hotel.
Led by Kampachi at EQ Hotel, this initiative will showcase the diverse culinary and cultural attractions of Japan’s 47 prefectures over a period of 27 months, sharing the richness of Japan’s regional heritage with people in Malaysia.
It is a highly meaningful project that contributes to deepening culinary and cultural exchange between Japan and Malaysia, as well as promoting mutual understanding.

Today’s event also featured a mochi-pounding demonstration, a traditional Japanese performance symbolizing good fortune and new beginnings.
