Ambassador Oka awarded Ambassadorial Commendation to JAGAM and attended a send-off ceremony for the 2021 Japanese Government Scholarship recipients

On 22th October, Ambassador Oka expressed his appreciation for JAGAM (Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia)'s proactive activities as a bridge between Japan and Malaysia, including the promotion of study in Japan as well as Japanese language and culture, and presented Mr. Gary Tang Kok Lian, President of JAGAM with a Certificate of Commendation from the Ambassador in recognition of its contribution to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Malaysia.
In addition, the JAGAM held a send-off ceremony for the 2021 Japanese Government Scholarship students (research students). This year, 22 Malaysian students will be studying at Japanese universities as research students. At the ceremony, Ambassador Oka delivered words of encouragement and stated expectations for them to be a driving force of the future of Asia.
