Ambassador Oka had a Courtesy call on the Minister of Health

On 3 July, Ambassador Oka had a courtesy call on the Minister of Health, YB Dato’Sri. Dr. Adham bin Baba. Ambassador Oka express his admiration for Malaysia’s efforts to deal with the covid-19 pandemic and briefed on the current situation in Japan and efforts including our support for Malaysia. In response, the minister expressed his appreciation for Japan's support.
In addition to the cooperation on the covid-19, we agreed to further cooperate with each other in the future, not only bilaterally such as “MOC in the field of healthcare”, but also within the framework of ASEAN, including efforts to establish an ASEAN Centre for Emerging Diseases and Public Health Emergencies.
