The Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon on Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak

On September 30, the Conferment Ceremony of 2019 Spring Imperial Decorations for foreign recipients was held at the Japanese Ambassador’s Residence. Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, Rector of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) received the Imperial decoration “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”.
Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, while he was the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) from 2000 to 2011, played an important role to advance research exchanges and promote student exchanges with Japanese universities, and contributed to the development of the Japanese language education at USM and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). This prestigious award was conferred in recognition of his remarkable contribution to promote cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia.
