Ambassador Oka and Minister Araki visited the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT)

On 3rd December, Ambassador Oka and Minister Araki visited the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT). They exchanged various views with MJIIT staffs and toured equipments and facilities.

MJIIT was established under the agreement of both Japanese and Malaysian governments in September 2011. It is a higher education institute located in Malaysia which provides Japanese-style engineering education to young Malaysian and international students. And MJIIT offers Japanese language classes and Japanese cultural activities. About 750 undergraduates and about 280 postgraduates graduated from MJIIT

Besides providing yen loan (6.7 billion yen), Japan extends cooperation through the formation of the Japanese University Consortium by providing Japanese academic staffs and advice.
