Japan x Origami Workshop in Melaka by Embassy of Japan
2024/3/6
On March 2nd and 3rd, the Embassy of Japan hosted a Japanese cultural event, mainly focusing on Origami, at The Shore Shopping Gallery in Melaka. About 200 people visited our booth.
Visitors learned about the origins of origami and how to fold it and experienced the charm of origami by creating their own pieces.
They also had the opportunity to dress up in traditional Japanese clothes, such as Yukata and Happi, and toplay traditional Japanese toys like Koma, Wanage, Daruma Otoshi and Kendama. They also learned more about Japan through pamphlets on Japanese tourist attractions, which were distributed at our booth.
Our heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by. It was an absolute pleasure interacting with everyone. We hope all of you had a memorable experience of Japanese culture.
