Ambassador Shikata attended the siging ceremony of Klang River Rejuvenation project

On 4 August, Ambassador Shikata attended the launch of a renewed partnership under the Klang River Rejuvenation Initiative. The initiative has seen significant contributions from AFFIN Group, The Ocean Cleanup, and Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd in restoring the Klang River through the Interceptor project. MUFG Bank (Malaysia) Berhad was welcomed as a new partner, further strengthening this impactful collaboration.
Y.A.M. Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah was also present and saw how the Interceptor 002, an automatic ship, collected floating garbage in the Klang River.
The event featured a heartfelt performance by Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza, whose beautiful singing brought warmth and meaning to the occasion.
