The Conferment Ceremony of the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun on Yang Mulia Tengku Tan Sri Dato’Seri Ahmad Rithauddeen bin Tengku Ismail was held at the Ambassador’s Official Residence on 8 February, 2018.
Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen held positions of Foreign Minister, Trade and Industry Minister, and Defense Minister of Malaysia from the 1970s to the 1980s, and contributed to the promotion of economic and diplomatic relations between Japan and Malaysia.
Ambassador Miyagawa commended his contributions and presented the decoration, the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, and its patent to Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen.
