Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer JS AKEBONO and the Royal Malaysian Navy conduct second Bilateral Exercise in the South China Sea

On 5 APRIL, the Maritime Self-Defence Force destroyer JS AKEBONO conducted a training exercise with the Royal Malaysian Navy in the South China Sea.
This is the second Bilateral Exercise following the destroyer JS SAZANAMI in February this year.
This time, the exercise was conducted in two phases, a port phase and an offshore phase, which allowed for more tactical depth. Japan will continue to cooperate with the Malaysian Government to contribute to the maritime security in the region.
