Official visit to the state of Penang by Ambassador Takahashi

From 3rd to 5th October, Ambassador Takahashi and Madam Takahashi made an official visit to Penang and paid a farewell call on TYT Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Hj Abdul Razak，the Governor of Penang, and and Toh Puan Dato’ Seri Utama Khadijah binti Mohd Nor. Ambassador Takahashi also paid a farewell call on YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, the Chief Minister of Penang, together with Mr Kawaguchi, the Consule-General in Penang.
At the meetings, both sides reaffirmed the strong and friendly relationship and people-to-people ties developed between Japan and Penang, especially in the fields of economy and culture, and exchanged views on the possibility of cooperation in new fields.
Ambassador Takahashi also attended the 50th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the Penang Japanese School, where he delivered a congratulatory speech.
