Official Visit by Ambassador Takahashi to the state of Kelantan

From June 3rd to 5th, Ambassador Takahashi made an official visit to Kelantan and paid a courtesy call on YAB Dato’ Bentara Kanan Ustaz Haji Ahmad bin Yakob, Chief Minister of Kelantan. Mr Orikasa, Consul General of Japan in Penang, accompanied.
 
At the meeting, they confirmed the cordial relations built between Japan and Kelantan, represented by the long-term relationship between Kasaoka City and Kota Bharu City as Friendship Handshake City. They also exchanged views on further cooperation in various fields including education as well as flood management.
 
During his visit to Kelantan, Ambassador Takahashi also attended the Kelantan-Japan Cultural Festival 2022 held in Kota Bharu city and visited ROHM-Wako factory. In addition, Ambassador Takahashi had meetings with Alumni Look East Policy Society (ALEPS) and Japanese soccer players for Kelantan United Football Club. They exchanged views on cultural, youth and sports exchange activities.
