Ambassador Shikata attended SPOGOMI in Malaysia 2024

On 30th November, Ambassador Shikata attended the SPOGOMI in Malaysia 2024, organized by AEON Delight (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd.
SPOGOMI is a unique event, invented in Japan, combining "sports" and "environmental contribution," in 2008. Participating teams compete by collecting garbage and litter within a time limit and specified area in KL, earning points based on the quantity and types of waste collected. On the day, 150 participants and 27 teams participated in the event.
We hope that this event will serve as a catalyst to inspire greater awareness about waste management issues across Malaysia and contribute to solving problems related to waste management throughout ASEAN.
