On the 8th of October, Ambassador OKA paid a courtesy call on YB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin, former Prime Minister and Chairman of National Recovery Council (NRC).
Ambassador OKA conveyed his deepest appreciation to YB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin for his strong leadership to address the challenges of COVD-19 and his continued support for the long-running friendly relations between Japan and Malaysia. At the meeting, YB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin and Ambassador OKA had a good exchange of views on advancing bilateral cooperation between Japan and Malaysia, including economic recovery from the impact of COVID-19 and promoting the 40th anniversary of Look East Policy in 2022. YB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin and Ambassador OKA shared the views to promote cooperation to further strengthen the relationship between Japan and Malaysia.
