Ambassador Shikata attended Malaysia-Japan relations forum hosted by ISIS Malaysia

On 10 December, Ambassador Shikata attended the Malaysia-Japan relations forum entitled “Japan’s Foreign Policy Evolution, Global South Aspirations and Malaysia’s Perspective,” hosted by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia. The event included insightful lectures and a Q&A session featuring Prof. Toshihiro Minohara of Kobe University and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zakaria Haji Ahmad, Pro-Chancellor of HELP University.
In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Shikata highlighted recent advancements in Japan-Malaysia relations. He also reiterated Japan’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship and its efforts toward the integration of the ASEAN community.
