“A Tribute to Past Presidents” – Annual event of Ikebana International Johor Bahru Chapter 235

An annual event of Ikebana International Johor Bahru Chapter 235, “A Tribute to Past Presidents”, specially dedicating to their past presidents, was held on 9 March, and Ms Kurihara, Director of Japan Information Service, attended. As Mrs Pandora Ip, President of the Singapore Sogetsu Association, was invited for her ikebana demonstration, all participants enjoyed her beautiful demonstration.
Ikebana International Johor Bahru Chapter 235 was awarded Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2017 as they have contributed to promotion of Japanese culture in Malaysia, and the awarding ceremony was held in December 2017.
