Judo practice at the Malaysian Judo Federation National Training Centre

On 8th August 2020, Embassy of Japan in Malaysia spectated Judo training at the Malaysian Judo Federation National Training Centre located at the Federal Territory Sports Council facility in Putrajaya. Judo practices have now slowly resumed following Malaysia’s achievement in containing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
The Tatami Mats used for the training were donated by the All Japan Judo Federation in 2017, as part of Japan’s sport initiative, “Sport for Tomorrow” campaign to improve practice environment for the coming 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are delighted to see the Malaysian Judo Federation fully utilising these well-maintained Tatami Mats to practise the popular Japanese martial art.
