Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays upon Mr. Kong Siew Yaw, former local employee, Embassy of Japan in Malaysia

On the 12th of April, the Embassy of Japan hosted a conferment ceremony for Mr. Kong Siew Yaw, former local employee, Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, who received The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays, as 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations for foreign recipients.
Mr. Kong Siew Yaw started working as a driver at the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia in 1984. He later became a driver for the Ambassador’s car and retired in 2018. Mr. Kong was a diligent driver with good driving skills. His hard-working attitudes and leadership as a senior member of the local staff steadily supported the Embassy’s diplomatic work.
The prestigious Order was conferred in recognition of his invaluable support for the diplomatic activity of the Embassy to enhance the bilateral relations between Japan and Malaysia.
