On June 7, Ambassador Takahashi paid a courtesy call on Y.B. Datuk Seri Dr. Ronald Kiandee, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on food security issues as well as agricultural and food trade between Japan and Malaysia, including Wagyu beef from Japan and fruits from Malaysia. They also agreed to explore cooperation in other agricultural areas, such as the promotion of smart agriculture.
