"9th Japanese Ambassador's Cup" Kendo Championships

On 8 September, the Embassy of Japan, together with Malaysia Kendo Association, organized the "9th Japanese Ambassador's Cup" Kendo Championships. The Japanese Ambassador's Cup is an annual kendo competition, and has been held since 2014, in which athletes from dojos (clubs) across Malaysia come together to compete.
This year, with participants from all over Malaysia as well as Vietnam and Singapore, a total of 22 teams competed in a team tournament and an individual tournament for the under-12 age group.
At the awards ceremony, Minister Karimata presented the trophy and medals to the winning team.
We hope that kendo will be further spread in Malaysia, and that sports exchange and friendship between Japan and Malaysia will be further promoted for years to come.
